"I've been taking medication for hair loss for many years, but recently its effects seem to have plateaued..."
"I'm worried about thinning hair, but I also want to do something about my gray hair."
For those of you experiencing such problems, there is a case study that I would like you to know about.

This time, we'll introduce the astonishing progress of a man in his 60s who, after just one injection treatment using the latest regenerative medicine, "iPS cell culture supernatant," not only experienced hair regrowth but also saw his gray hairs begin to turn black.
The patient originally came to our clinic for hair loss treatment, but by utilizing the power of iPS cells, not only did they increase their hair volume, but they also experienced the welcome change of hair rejuvenation (gray hair turning black).
Why did someone who had been undergoing treatment for over 10 years and was struggling with stagnant results experience dramatic improvements through iPS cell-based therapy? We will explain the reasons in detail.

Case study of iPS cell therapy in a man in his 60s

This patient had been receiving standard oral medications such as finasteride and minoxidil, along with injection treatments at another clinic, for about 10 years.
After receiving treatment at another hospital for about eight years, the patient came to our clinic two years ago and consulted us, saying that "the improvement has stalled in recent years."

    Photos from the first consultation

At the initial consultation, in addition to overall hair thinning, the thinning was particularly noticeable in the frontal area.
Areas where hair thinning is particularly noticeable may indicate a higher progression of AGA (androgenetic alopecia), suggesting that the condition has worsened.

At the time of the initial consultation, the patient was already undergoing oral medication treatment, taking medication daily for eight years, in addition to receiving injection treatment at another hospital.
Typically, the reasons why treatment may not be effective or why hair growth may stagnate are often "forgetting to take medication" or "poor scalp condition hindering hair growth."
However, this patient took their medication every day without fail and was very careful about the condition of their scalp.

From this, we concluded that the reason the effects of the medication were stagnating despite taking it consistently was either because the scalp condition had become less conducive to the AGA treatment, or because the AGA had become so severe that medication alone could no longer combat it.

At our clinic, while continuing with the two oral medications, we first focus on improving the scalp environment, which is the foundation for hair growth, to promote hair regrowth.PRP treatment (using your own platelets) made from your own blood, in conjunction with thorough scalp care (medical head spa and home care). We proposed this to them, and they have now started treatment and care.

Oral medication: Finasteride Continue taking medication to reduce hair loss.
Oral medication: Minoxidil Continue taking medication to promote hair growth.
Injections into the scalp: PRP therapy Once a month, PRP treatment delivers the nutrients necessary for scalp improvement and hair growth.
Medical Head Spa Regularly removes pore impurities that are difficult to remove on your own and improves blood circulation.
ホームケア If the scalp environment is not properly maintained, the effectiveness of the treatment will be halved.
We continued using a scalp serum for moisturizing care every day.

PRP therapy initiation to treatment results 2 years later

Through two years of PRP treatment, regular medical head spa treatments, and thorough home care,My scalp tone has improved, and my hair density has recovered significantly.

However, regarding the right hairline, which was the area the patient was most concerned about, the progression was indeed the most advanced there, so while there has been improvement, it was the last area where the patient would truly feel the effects.
There was a strong desire to further improve the "transparency" of this area, so we switched to the latest "iPS cell culture supernatant" injection treatment.

Treatment progress of iPS cell culture supernatant (AGA)

Even from my perspective as a specialist, the changes observed just one month after a single iPS cell injection were remarkable.
What's particularly noteworthy is the "thinning of the hairline on the right side," which she had been most concerned about for many years.
This was the area where the symptoms were most advanced, but after just one treatment, the density clearly began to improve.
This gives the impression that the iPS cells acted as a "catalyst," leading to explosive changes in a short period of time, precisely because the scalp's foundation had been prepared to its best condition through the patient's persistent PRP treatment, head spa, and home care over the past two years.

Furthermore, not only were there changes in the patient's appearance in photographs, but there were also dramatic changes in the scalp itself, as examined with a microscope. It was confirmed that the hair itself was beginning to regain its youthful appearance thanks to iPS cell therapy.

    1. Simultaneous and multiple "black spots" and dramatic changes in the scalp

When the scalp was magnified with a microscope, countless tiny black dots, called black spots, were visible.
This is like a "baby hair," a sign that new hair is growing.
The simultaneous appearance of so many black spots is extremely rare and can be seen as evidence that the iPS cells had a powerful effect on the healthy scalp environment.

What's even more noteworthy is that the texture of the scalp itself has become soft and fluffy, and the skin tone has also improved significantly.
From the foundation that has evolved into the best possible condition, like a fertile field,You can also see the black spots growing further, and healthy hairs beginning to sprout one after another.

    2. Gray hair turns black from the root (activation of hair follicles)
Another surprising change is,"The roots of the gray hairs that had already grown in have turned black and started to grow."
When observed under a microscope, the tips of the hair remained gray, but only the first few millimeters of the root that had grown in after the iPS injection had turned a vivid black color.
this is,This means that the growth factors contained in iPS cells powerfully awakened dormant pigment cells (melanocytes), and the supply of melanin pigment resumed immediately after the injection treatment.

In particular, in cases like the one pictured, where black and white hairs grow from a single follicle, this dramatic regeneration is more likely to occur because the melanocytes are still alive.
Hair follicles where one of the two or three hairs emerging is black and the others are gray tend to show particularly good improvement in gray hair with this treatment. Therefore, I highly recommend it as a treatment for gray hair.

    Summary

This time, we introduced a wonderful case that makes us realize once again the potential of regenerative medicine.
Building upon the patient's diligent efforts over the past two years, and with the addition of the latest stimulus of iPS cells, even a single iPS treatment not only began to improve hairline density, but also rejuvenated the scalp, hair follicles, and melanocytes, resulting in a dramatic improvement in gray hair and a general rejuvenation of the hair itself.
This is the result after only one month of treatment, so I'm looking forward to seeing the changes as the treatment continues and progresses.

Now that we know that iPS cell culture supernatant has the potential to not only activate hair growth but also deliver the added benefit of improving gray hair, there's no need to give up on treatment just because you think, "I'm too old" or "Medication won't make a difference."
