When is it better to wash your hair: morning or night?
table of contents
This time, we will explain the best time to shampoo.
This is a must-see for both those who shower in the morning and those who shower at night, so be sure to watch until the end!
Are more people shampooing in the morning?
In the past, many people shampooed their hair at night, but in recent years, I feel that more people are shampooing their hair in the morning.
When we asked the staff at our clinic, we found that many people wash their hair twice a day, in the morning and at night.I get the feeling that there are more and more people who prefer to wash their hair in the morning.
Morning shampoo removes necessary sebum!?
People who shampoo their hair in the morning probably do so for reasons such as fixing bedhead, making it easier to style, and being concerned about stickiness. But did you know that shampooing your hair in the morning can also strip your hair of necessary sebum?
One of the reasons we recommend shampooing at night is that it produces the right amount of oil by morning, protecting your scalp and hair from the UV rays of the day.
If you go outside with the necessary sebum stripped away by your morning shampoo, your scalp and hair will be more susceptible to damage because there will be no sebum to protect you from UV rays, and you will be more likely to experience problems such as sunburn, rough skin, and dry, brittle hair.
People who suffer from dry scalp or dandruff, or who have curly hair, should be especially careful.
Also, since your skin undergoes metabolism while you sleep at night, it is said that it is ideal to wash your hair at night and go to bed in a clean state.
There are times when you get home late and are so tired that you end up falling asleep, but it seems like it's still better to wash your hair at night.
Will shampooing at night make my hair more manageable?
When talking to people with long hair, many of them say that washing their hair at night makes it easier to style and keep together the next morning.
People with short hair are more likely to get hair that gets tangled while sleeping, so many people find it easier to style their hair by resetting it with shampoo in the morning. This means that the frequency with which you feel the need to shampoo can vary depending on the length of your hair.
"I washed my hair at night, but I really want to wash it again in the morning!"
For those people, we recommend washing your hair with only warm water in the morning.
When you start to worry about your scalp being oily or smelly, you may want to shampoo twice a day, but the more you wash your scalp, the more sebum is produced to protect it, which can lead to bad odor.
If you really want to wash it in the morning, we recommend washing it thoroughly at night and then just rinsing it with hot water in the morning.
